The wrong product will mean you will be paying higher charges for a number of years without access to the tax relief available.
All financial products relating to cars fall into two categories: Ownership and Usership.
If you rent a flat or house you have a Usership agreement but if you have a mortgage or paid cash for your house it’s Ownership. The same applies to cars.
The leasing market is the fastest growing sector of vehicle funding for both individuals and businesses. Every one of the top five firms of accountants in the UK choose to lease their vehicles and you would expect them to have the best financial information to hand.
Many personal leasing schemes are marketed with interesting but frankly pointless names such as:
Freeway, Select, Agility, Solutions, Elect and Aspirations. Do not be seduced by the packaging as all these schemes are simple PCP leases.
So which product is the best for you? There is no quick answer because you need to factor in a number of variables such as the cars emissions, it’s P11D value, the interest rate, personal and corporate tax and then there’s 20 years of experience of dealing with professionals like you.
